Re: Wish List

Hi James,

Thanks very much for the detailed reply. There's a lot of information in your post for us to digest!

Let me ponder it a bit, and I may have some more questions. I think it's an important subject for all users to understand.

Re: Wish List

James, on the subject of Data Snoop, would it be possible to allow the user to determine the relative weights used to calculate the Rating? For that matter, how is the rating calculated now? It's not intuitively obvious -- I see some inputs listed in the Evaluator that have nice specs but low rating...

Re: Wish List

Hi James, Would it be possible to add some way to save the Data Snoop results? If the data covers a lot of years, the runs can take a lot of time, and it would be nice to be able to save them. I find that often times the highest rated input is not the best one for my model building purposes, and I h...

Re: Sneak Peak

James, thanks for adding the Net Points statistic. One thing confuses me about it, however. Some of the time, the net points equals the average trade points times the trade count, as I would expect. But with many models it doesn't, and is about 10% or so off. Is that because of the use of natural lo...

Re: Wish List

James, that sounds very interesting. I currently do that externally to Synergy, using Excel. One nice thing about doing it that way is that I can aggregate sub-sets of models, have them vote, and then combine the votes of the subsets. For example, I might have 10 Synergy models that generate a signa...

Re: Sneak Peak

Dennis, that sounds good. James, would it be possible to add one more line to the Statistics on the Models tab of Synergy? What I'd like to see is the a line labeled something like "Total Points Gained". It would be the product of the "Trade Count" and "Average Trade Points" lines, which are already...

Re: Support

OK, my guess above was right. (you may want to clarify a bit in the user's guide, in case there are other dummies like me)

It runs like a champ, this is going to save a lot of time!

Thanks very much, James.

Re: Support

Hi James, I plan to be trying out the Synergy batch processing very soon. However, I was looking over the documentation, and was a bit confused. I understand that the models and output folders need to be presented like in the example you gave: D:\Modeling Runs\AUDUSD\AUDUSD_DBRun069.syn,D:\Synergy S...

Re: Sneak Peak

James, I understand completely. I look forward to trying the new application when it's ready, and also to using the new batch capability in the current version. Thanks very much.
